The Empowerment White Paper

The recent Empowerment white paper has created a lot of discussion in the voluntary sector airwaves.

The Regional Forum has produced a great summary. Have a look here: http://www.ukpolicy.org.uk/current_policies/?id=23

For third sector ICT bods like us, the discussions necessarily lead to the digital inclusion debate. Paul Webster, the Regional Champion’s co-ordinator, has done a good summary with that in mind. have a llok here:

One area of the paper that is generating is the proposal to create “digital mentors”. Here is one example: http://davepress.net/2008/07/14/what-is-a-digital-mentor/

Hazel Blears herself is blogging about the paper: http://haveyoursay.communities.gov.uk/blogs/hazelblears-empowerment/default.aspx

If you really want to go into some details There is an pageflakes site which aggregates feeds from all over the place about the White paper:
