Over the last two years, Kiveton Park & Wales Community Development Trust (KPWCDT) has been running Kivo-Ebiz, a social enterprise selling unwanted items on e-bay on behalf of local people. Over a period of 18 months Kivo-Ebiz has brought £50,000 to their local community.
This seminar will explore how development trusts can successfully trade on eBay for the benefit of their community; bringing much needed income to local people and strengthening their organisation at the same time. It will look at practical know-how and review some of the assumptions behind the business model. You will learn from the experience of KPWCDT and by the end of the day you will be your way to setting up your own community eBay enterprise.
